This video comprises erratic dreamscape scenes where viewers are invited to integrate into the fictional narration. The empty scenes of the basement's humidity and tropical forest are accompanied by a soft woman's voice gently speaking in Malay. In the installation, images are modified with a constant flashlight and surreal lighting, creating an additional layer of sensation. They fortify the nonexistence while emphasising a harsh ugliness common in third-world countries. The monologue suggests a story of foreign experience with war scenes and a hysterical mental state, intending to transcribe the reception and regard for the real-world major conflict continuously happening as a foreigner in these contexts. By connecting both elements, the inner contrasts of fanatical idealism and those uninfected are revealed, as if the dilemma has turned into a sado-masochistic dream of pain fulfilment.
