Breathing Gap is a performance project where several poetic scenarios are met and constitute the whole spectacle as a dreamlike theatrical piece. The soft sounds of the music box, which the lovers danced under, disrupt and underwhelmed by the aggressive vehicle engine noise. The twins-alike dancers were exchanging their breath gently through a transparent pipe while others were marching with a strict, repeating drum beat. Outdoor breeze and car’s exhaust gas, dog’s barking and bird’s tweeting, performers and viewers... The performance is written in a similar way to a musical composition. Performers interpreted rhythms, movements, and senses freely; put silence, space, body, and accident to negotiation. Their symmetrical appearances and actions are scripted to represented tensions and contrast of accumulating experiences of the current world.
